Need assistance with technology? Schedule a free, 30-minute 1-on-1 session with Albany Public Library staff for basic tech help!
What We Can Help With:
- Downloading eBooks and eAudiobooks using Libby or Cloud Library
- Navigating and searching the internet
- Improving general technology skills
- Setting up and using an email account
- Accessing and exploring the library’s online resources
- Learning to use mobile devices

Important Information:
- What we can’t do:
Library staff cannot provide advice or perform data entry for medical, legal, financial, business, or personal transactions (e.g., contracts, enrollments, online purchases, travel bookings, etc.). Additionally, we cannot install hardware or update software. - What to bring:
Please bring any devices, account information, or passwords needed for your session. Library staff does not have access to your personal accounts or devices. - What to expect:
Our goal is to teach you how to complete tasks yourself. While we’re happy to guide you through the process, we’ll work alongside you to help you learn rather than doing it for you.
Follow-Up Appointments:
If more help is needed, we can discuss scheduling a follow-up session. Please note that appointments are limited to one per month per patron.
